St James is the local Church of England parish church serving the area of the village of Westhead near Ormskirk, Lancashire.
The church is open for Sunday Services and our LIFE (Living In Faith Everyday) Bible discussion group continues to run weekly on Zoom.
St James Westhead is a friendly, welcoming church. As individuals we purposefully seek to grow in our spiritual life. Together, we strive to be a key part of our local community by sharing Jesus’ love through word and action and we have great links with the primary school in the village.

Ordained 2001, having a background in Agriculture, the Prison Service and a desire to share the Good News of Jesus.

Retired after 35 years in education. Love spending my time with my family and grandchildren and being a member of St James’ Church.

Part of Westhead church since 1985, I’ve enjoyed serving as churchwarden for several years. One day I’d love to write a book about it!

To enable God’s mission in this community & beyond, the stewardship of all gifts and grants received, is a responsibility and a privilege for me.
